Vines
Vines growing higher
Extending towards the sun
Like fingers desperately grasping,
Reaching for a hand from above
I beg you now
Pull me from this darkness
I'm reaching towards you
I'm reaching for your light
The darkness swells around me
The windows overgrown
The vines constricting me
Blot out the only light I've ever known
The roses beautiful,
The red of light divine
The vines and thorns around them
Trapping me deep inside
Crumble
Flicker
Draw back
Draw back from the light of love
Infatuated with the dark, I hide out from the light
Perpetuate my suffering, I bite the hand that feeds
Destroy all that you love, until there's nothing left
Consumed in roses and thorns, I waste away

I dig this album so much, definitely a keeper. Subtly and masterfully mixing death metal subgenres, backed with an over the top production. They're true professionals. Can't wait for their next release! doive

Another magical band and miraculous album. How can music be so perfect? Virvum delivers us here their masterful uniqueness, where beautiful melody is weaved into raw violence. adrianradillo
Utterly indescribable new record from Greek metal band Locust Leaves features corkscrewing tempos, manic vocal shifts & dense arrangements. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 6, 2017

I don’t usually go out much for metalcore/deathcore but this album would easily make my shortlist. Emotionally captivating with great storytelling and an overall solid musical performance. 7/10 RJ
